Every member should establish a profile on the site telling everyone what they need to know about you and your practice. The software platform that our site is on has prepared a set of instructions describing how to set up and to edit your profile. To see this description, click on "EDITING YOUR PROFILE" and follow the instructions you find there.

I have also created a short video illustrating how to do it. This might be more helpful because you can actually see how it is done on the site. This link should start the video Illustrating Profile Editing.

If you have further questions, just let me know.

Volunteers are needed to serve on a "Website Committee". The purpose of the committee is to develop and manage our association website to serve the goals of the association. The initial role of the committee will be to advise the Board on goals and objectives of the site, then to develop and implement programs to achieve those goals as approved and adopted by the Board. Read more about the initial objectives that our site is intended to serve and support on our page describing Committee Roles and Responsibilities. The goal for our site is to provide support to each of these active committees.

The primary qualification for serving on the committee is an interest in the use of a website as a tool for the organization and a willingness to participate in and work for the process. Technical skills are not required (although they are certainly welcome). The associaion has already identified and committeed to a website and a platform for operating the site. What is needed now is to flesh out the site so that it meets all the various needs of the different constitutiencies represented by the organization.

The designated webmaster for ACRHouston will serve as the chair of the committee, but all other roles and responsibilities of the committee will be determined by the committee, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors, to whom the committee will report.

My objective at this point is to identify a core group of individuals who are interested in this committee and to convene a meeting in February to begin work.

Please reply to this message to indicate your interest inparticipating, and let me know something about what role you would like to play and any thoughts that you already have about what the committee should address in terms of needs of the organization. The ideas you contribute will help to get us a good start for our first organizational meeting in February.
