The Officer and Board Member roles and responsibilities that will support the overall objectives of ACRH for 2012 are as follows:
President (Officer) {} Direction and Consensus
- Call and preside over board meetings
- Set the high level direction for the board
- Establish the consensus of the board wherever possible
- Propose the creation and direction of committees to the board for approval
- Propose guidelines and objectives for the Bylaws committee for board approval
- Propose guidelines and objectives for the Marketing committee for board approval
- Identify and mentor potential new board members
- Holds current PayPal debit card
Past-President (Officer) {} Continuity
- Provide advice and guidance to the president
- Identify and mentor potential new board members
President Elect (Officer) {} 2013 Planning
- Prepare for their year as president
- Take on the duties of the president if the president is absent
- Becomes the president in 2013
- Identify and mentor potential new board members
Vice-President (Officer) {} Back up
- Provide support to the president as and when required
Treasurer (Officer) {} Financial Integrity
- Establish a 2012 budget for ACRH
- Maintain the accounts & provide financial updates at each board meeting if required
- Present the year-end accounts at the Annual Meeting
- Obtain second PayPal debit card
- Authorize payments up to $500 without prior board approval
- Holds the PO Box key and collects the mail
- Pay-in checks and cash receipts
- Transfer money and issue refunds as necessary
- Make payments as authorized by the board
- Prepare Sales Exemption tax forms for goods & services purchased by ARCH
- File Form 990 by 15th May each year
- Pay Officers & Directors insurance to ACR National organization
- Move to maintaining the financial accounts electronically
Secretary (Officer) {} Keeper of Records
- Write and distribute the minutes of board meetings
- Keep all papers, records and other documents of ACRH
- Maintain record of passwords, possessors of keys and who has authorization to access the website, PO Box, bank accounts, PayPal, etc
- Maintain a record of the terms of office of all Directors and Officers
- Prepare the ACR national report for board approval and submit on 15th March 2012
- Determine what documents to post on what parts of the website
Webmaster {} Improve our Internet Presence
- Overall control of appearance, structure & functionality of ARCH’s internet presence
- Provide and control access to the website as follows:

- President, Secretary, Treasurer & Program Chair full administration access
- Membership Chair & Partnership Chair full access without administrative authority
- Other Officers and Board members at Webmaster’s discretion
- All other persons require prior board approval
- Establish and run a website committee
- Provide budget of expenditure for website develop during 2012
- Provide assistance and training on using the website to Treasurer, Secretary, Program Chair, Membership Chair & Partnership Chair as required
- Create 2-year internet development plan
- Develop instructional material for members
- Develop guidelines for developing content
- Solicit content from members with Membership Chair
- Recruit bloggers with Membership Chair
- Edit and post content to website
- Identify and detail roles and tasks that can be performed by our members
Diversity and Equity Point Person {} Balance and Access
- Required by the bylaws - can be an appointment
- Oversight of activities to ensure we uphold our commitment to diversity & equality
- Prepare diversity and equality section of the ACR national report
- Input and review of the range and applicability of the program of events to ensure they meet the needs of diverse members and stakeholders
- Input and review of website content, promotional material, and similar communications
- Identify and mentor potential new board members
