ACR Houston 2012 Committee Roles and Responsibilities

Programs Chair    {} Satisfy our Members Expectations

    • Develop a schedule of events for 2012 and 2013
    • Submit event schedule and costs for board approval prior to making commitments 
    • Establish and run a program committee
    • Arrange and coordinate each program event for 2012
    • Create and issue event notifications to members
    • Submit event notifications to ACR national and if applicable to other organizations
  • Ensure all invoices & expenses are documented and submitted to the Treasurer
    • Identify and detail roles and tasks that can be performed by our members 

Membership Chair    {} Knowing our Members

  • Maintain the membership records on the website
  • Identify members areas of expertise
  • Develop and submit feedback and survey ideas to the board for approval
  • Issue and collate members input as applicable
  • Prepare membership feedback and assessment report for 2012
  • Identify and mentor potential new board members
  • Solicit members for roles and/or tasks as defined by the board, directors & chairs

Partnership Chair    {} Exploring Partnership Opportunities 

  • Further develop the list of potential organizations and contacts that ARCH may want have as partners
  • Move to putting partners information into a data-base linked to website
  • Identify shared aspirations and goals with partner organizations
  • Identify and detail roles and tasks that can be performed by our members 

Bylaws Committee Chair    {} Establish a Robust and Workable Constitution

  • Establish and run the bylaws committee
  • Create an outline structure of Bylaws, Policies, etc for submittal for board approval 
  • Revise and/or rewrite the existing Bylaws to satisfy the approved outline and meet the accepted standards for 501 3 c organizations
  • Submit new bylaws and associated policies for approval by the board
  • Revise and proof read documents as necessary

Marketing Chair    {} Converging on a Common Message

  • Establish a marketing committee
  • Develop ideas to create a vision statement and mantra by the members
  • Create a marketing plan outline for approval by the board
  • Develop plans for celebrating Conflict Resolution day
