Mediator Peer Groups

Have you had moments in a mediation that you wished you could do over? Do you have mediation cases that stick in the mind for a long time? Would you like some positive critical feedback on specific areas of your practice? Do you want to increase your understanding of mediation strategies, theories, outcomes and alternative approaches?

Then come and try out this practical demonstration of mediator peer groups.  Mediator peer groups are regular facilitated small groups of mediators who get together to discuss a particular critical moment in a mediation. The group can provide input and feedback to enable mediators to look at their assumptions, responses and consider alternative approaches. In addition the group can offer support for those difficult cases where the mediator has lingering concerns. The aim of this program is for mediators to experience how mediator peer group works and provide an opportunity, for those that wish, to set-up groups to meet outside of the regular ACR chapter programs.

Appreciative Inquiry

ACR Houston wants to know what makes this organization special and how it can better meet your needs and expectations.  On Tuesday, May 5th, at Central Market on the second level, we had a meeting to answer these questions at 5:30 PM.  If you missed the meeting, please contribute through the survey below.

If you didn't make the May 5th meeting, click here, fill in the survey, and mail it back to us.

While we have received some responses to the questionnaire sent out in mid-April, we encourage everyone to respond whether or not they attended the program. For those of you who did not attend please note that we are planning to conduct some AI interviews by phone at a later date. If you are interested in participating by phone, please let me know. The program flyer is attached along with a word version of the questionnaire below.

I look forward to your participation in this exciting opportunity to have your say in the future direction of
ACR Houston.
